When I saw the book, The Daniel Prayer by Anne Graham Lotz, at Book Look Bloggers, I was drawn to its sub-title “Prayer that Moves Heaven and Changes Nations”. I was intrigued and thought that it’s a perfect book for me to learn how to pray the Daniel way. It is too powerful that it can change nation, then surely my simple prayer request will be granted.
I admit I heard about Daniel Prayer a long time ago, but never read about it. Apparently, I am not deeply rooted to religious stuff. Don’t get me wrong, I do go to church, I joined religious groups, attended prayer meeting, and I regularly pray. Yet my relationship with God is not as deep as it is like other people.
Daniel Prayer is a commitment. A commitment that perseveres over any and every obstacle until Heaven is moved and nations are changed.
Although this book tries to teach us The Daniel Prayers, the author also tries to relate her own experiences on how she dealt circumstances with prayer. With that It is clearly an evident of the power of prayer.
But it is not an ordinary prayer, the regular prayers that we utter every single day, but something that really comes from the core of our heart. As stated in this book when we pray we have to be specific, we have to be persistent on asking God to answer our prayer. And I would say that it is by strong faith God will surely give what you prayed for.
With the different problems that we are facing right now, what we need is to pray as one for our nation. What we need is to pray like Daniel. If you read this book you will realize that his prayer is very compelling. That his experiences [for us with little faith] seems so impossible but God answered his prayer very timely. If we pray like him, surely God will hear our voice and heal our nation.
