We’ve been juicing 2 years ago, not daily, only if we think that we need to. Maybe because we don’t really enjoy it because of the boring combo of apple, celery, cucumber, spinach that we used to juice daily. I don’t even know why we didn’t bother to research online and explore different mixed of fruits and veggies.
Anyway, when I had enough of my heartaches because of my acne. I decided to do juicing for 30 days. I’ve had enough of getting comments and reaction from people and the treatment (facial, IPL, and Venus Viva, and the creams), aren’t really helping me much.
I started the challenge last September 1st, and so far, I’m loving it. Not that it did a magical healing to my face because as of this writing I still have pimples, but the different combos of juices have surprised my taste palate. Not only that, I feel more energize now.
Day 11 to 20 of 30 Day Juicing for Acne
So as my juicing journey continues here are the juices combo I did…
Day 11: Sweet and Tangy
A mixed of carrots, apple, lemon and ginger
Day 12: “Beet” that Acne
Although I still got new pimples, but my skin is looking better now. Too early to celebrate but I will still continue juicing to “beet” that acne! This juice is composed of carrots, ginger, apple, celery, beet roots and beet greens.
Day 13: Minty Green
A combination of celery, cucumber, spinach, ginger and mint.
Day 14: Banini
Not juice but smoothie, because we have stocks of fruits that are almost over ripe and that can’t be done using juicer . This creamy smoothie is a mixed of of avocado, banana, tahini and almond milk; topped with blueberry, kiwi and flaxseeds.
Day 15: Orangey
Why “Orangey”? It just reminds me of my Korean friend who always has this “-ey” end when the word ends with letter e just like orange. And Day 15 juice is loaded with orange color – oranges, carrots and peach.
Day 16: Green Booster
A mixed of celery, cucumber, spinach, ginger, lemon and apple.
Day 17: Know your Roots
From juicingrecipe.com: carrots, beets and sweet potato. First time to include sweet potato in a juice. At first I am hesitant to do it, since I grew up eating sweet potato by boiling and not eating them raw. Surprisingly it’s good and will make the juice rich in flavor and the adds a texture to your drink. This is highly recommended.
Day 18: Beet it!
This is a combo of beets, carrots, apple and orange
Day 19: Tomato Power!
Although this recipe calls for 4 kinds of ingredients (celery, apple, orange, and tomato), tomato overpowers the other three ingredients. Thus, tomato power!. Taste good though.
Day 20: Sweet Potato Tasteture
Apple, carrots, beet, orange, sweet potato. The sweet potato makes this juice interesting because of it’s texture (tasteture)!
Although, I still get new acne which is disappointing, I noticed that the healing are faster compare before. And definitely not stopping this juicing challenge.
